Burial and Cremation at Ohio Valley Pet Cemetery
We offer both burial and cremation, and arrangements can easily be made by calling the cemetery or by having your veterinarian's office call for you.
If burial is chosen, several caskets and markers are available for you to choose from. An individual lot of your choice will be assigned and at the appointed time the burial will take place. The owner and family may view the pet and be present at the burial if they so desire.
In addition, the entrance to the Ohio Valley Pet Cemetery is a separate garden, known as the Garden of Honor. It is reserved for K-9 and seeing eye dogs, and for those who have saved a human life. All graves in this garden are offered to their owners free of charge. We feel these animals have earned and deserve this tribute.
If cremation is chosen, the pet will promptly be cremated and the ashes made available to the owner. There are two types of cremation, communal and private. At a communal cremation pets are cremated in groups and the ashes scattered. At a private cremation your pet will be individually cremated. The ashes will be returned to you in a sealed bag or the urn of your choice. We have many urns to chose from, all of which may be seen online at our Urns Page. |
